Van Gogh - Movement & Expressive Line

Day 1 - The Drawing
1. Introduce the life of Van Gogh. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5VRXbHp3fk
2. Show a picture of "Starry Night" on your whiteboard using a projector. 
3. Using a dry erase marker, draw the examples of an expressive line in Van Gogh's work.
4. Using the iPad, draw a simple version of Starry Night.
5. Share (save) as a Procreate file in your Google Drive.

Day 2 - Color Dropping
1. Introduction to "two finger tap" and "three finger tap" to undo/redo something you draw in Procreate. (Lead class demonstration with students following along.
2. Have students open Procreate and "Import" their project from Day 1.
3. On Layer 1 tap and choose "Reference."
4. Add a layer by clicking on the + sign for each color added to the project.
5. Share (save) as Procreate to Google Drive.
6. Delete from Procreate Gallery.
7. Log out of Google Classroom.

Day 3 - Adding Value "Gradient"
1. Open Procreate
2. Choose project
3. Turn on Alpha Lock for all layers.
4. In each layer, color pick color and adjust to a darker color.
5. Add the value coloring to each section of the chosen layer.
6. Turn off layer and repeat on each layer.

7. When complete, Share (save) as Procreate to Google Drive.
8. Delete from Procreate Gallery.
8. Log out of Google Classroom.
Day 4 - Create a Video
1. Open Procreate
2. Choose project
3. Click on Actions and choose Video
4. Click on Time-lapse Recording
5. Export Time-lapse video - Full Length
​6. Choose Google Drive
