Pattern
Vocabulary:
Planned or Regular Patterns - when lines, shapes, swirls, or other designs are repeated with accuracy.
Radial Patterns - designs that are circular or have a central point and move outward. An example would be a grapefruit cut in half and the designs you see in the half.
Assignments:
Wall paper & Animal Collage
Materials - paper, scissors, glue, wallpaper books and magazines
1. Find a paper in the wallpaper book that has repeated patterns for the background.
2. In the magazine, find animal pictures to cut out and glue on top of the background.
3. Glue the animals down in a unique way.
