Materials -
Watercolor paper

Black Sharpie (Fine Point)
Watercolor paint and angular paint brush

Watercolor paint and angular paint brush
Instructions: (Use a pencil first.)
A - Using a lid trace a circle in the center of the paper.
B - Draw a line dividing the circle. Create a moon face with the line. This will become the UNITY line.
C - Extend the line from the circle to the end of the page at the top and bottom of the circle.
D - Draw things you might see in a moon and sun background. (Stars, planet, rays of sun, clouds, etc.)
E - Draw the faces of the moon and sun.
Retrace everything drawn with sharpie.
Erase the entire drawing to prepare for adding color.

Use darker colors in the corners and add a lighter color to blend away from the corners. (See purple in corners blended with blue, orange in corners, blended with yellow.)
To make lighter colors, add more water to your brush and pull away from the darker color. (See dark blue/lighter blue in the moon and red circles.)
Examples: Use black sharpie to add additional textures to the painting.
