Vocabulary:
Form – In terms of art, form refers to objects that have length, width, and height. 3-Dimensional objects.
Geometric Forms (Regular) – Forms that usually have a name associated with them, and are typically man-made. (examples: sphere, cube, pyramid)
Organic Forms (Freeform) – Forms that usually don’t have a specific name associated with them, and are usually not man-made.
Highlight – Area(s) on objects where light is directly hitting.
Midtone – The middle value of the local color of the object.
Core Shadow – Area(s) on objects that are shaded or in shadow.
Cast Shadow – Area(s) on surrounding objects that are in shadow because of blocked light.
Reflected Highlight – Area(s) on objects that are lighter because of light reflected off of surrounding objects.

Assignments:

Project 1: Drawing shapes and creating form. Using the 3D Worksheet, draw the 3D example in the provided area. Once completed, draw real-life examples of the various shapes. Example: Cone = Ice cream cone


Project 2: Draw a shoe design or animal.
Fold a piece of paper into 4s. Draw different views top view, side view, front view and back view.

Project 3: Final Project:  Sculpture -- Britto Examples
1.  Using drawings created of the shoe/animal in Project 2, create a sculpture using Model Magic. Once complete let creation sit for a week to dry.
2. Using tempera paint, creatively paint the sculpture. Use clean lines and a variety of color. 
3. Once paint has dried (over 24hrs) take a sharpie marker and add details to shoe/animal.
