I'd like to welcome my new 308 students of 5th and 6th graders. We will have a great time learning new art techniques and working on our art skills. We started with a step by step drawing of a pig for 5th and a dog for 6th. I would draw a step, then the students would follow suite. I taught them that you can draw anything using lines, shapes and the alphabet. After drawing their animal, they drew the environment for their animal, sharpied, erased the pencil and colored using markers.
Coming up!!! - 5th grade will work on a pop art project called "The Apple". The 6th grade will work on designs for their portfolios.
