5th Grade
The 5th grade will learn how to deconstruct a picture in order to redraw it. They will participate in drawing exercises that teach them how to break down what they want to draw into lines and shapes. Then the students will move on to create a Lion/Parrot drawing they will paint with watercolors.
6th Grade
The 6th grade will learn about motion and focal points in art...what is the artist trying to get us to see. They will study the work of Vincent Van Gogh and recreate one of his famous painting called, "Starry Night", using oil pastels.
